Rosewell Plantation was a mansion that is located in Gloucester Virginia, built by Mann Page for his family from 1725 to 1738. Unfortunately, he died before Rosewell was finished in the front hall of the home. The Bishop said that "God struck him down for his excess."

Unfortunately in 1916, a fire destroyed most of the building and all that's left is some amazingly creepy ruins. As with all old buildings, this one has its own fair share of ghost stories. There have been reports of temperate drops, strange sounds and smells, the sound of slaves coming back from the field and the ghost of a women going up the steps. Aside from the death of Mann Page, apparently eleven slaves died in a kitchen fire.

Sara and I decided to drive up there and have a jolly good time and this is a compilation of footage and photos that I took. :) Enjoy.

I realize that there are orbs in one picture. Some people believe that orbs are dust and some believe people that they are ghosts. I don't claim that the orbs are ghosts, but I don't deny the existence of orbs either. I only have one thing to say: It was very dusty in the cellar so it was probably dust.

  • @primeing31 Lots of orbs in the wine cellar.

  • Did ever have those orbs checked out that were in what I guess was the wine cellar where your friend was standing?

  • @gemini16th correction- burned in 1916. Family tombs moved in 1969 to nearby Abbington Church.

  • Mansion built in 1700's- burned in 1917. It had a flat steel or iron roof that supported two large cuppolas used for lookouts & reading(later reduced to one when a sloped roof was installed)- three stories tall + large cellar made it virturally FOUR stories! The family was buried near the house, but their elaborate tombs were moved to nearby Abbington Church for safekeeping. The mansion would probally have been rebuilt if located in/near the Williamsburg area.
