Sarangi Ambient

My Name is David Berner. This is me playing my sarangi hooked thru some effect pedals. I don't know how to actually play sarangi properly. I know this is obviously not traditional. Sorry if it's annoying to some poeple. This is just a light taste of my experimental stuff.

Cool !! Time to bring sarangi music into the modern age...nothing wrong with the classical style , mind U. But if they electric sitar was made in the 60s...it's about time :) Imagine playing this into a loopbox for the ambient parts, then improvise soloing over it. :) I can hear it now :))

How'd you hook it up to stompboxes man? I love what you're doing here, I've been thinking about getting a sarangi myself. Right now the only "exotic" instrument I play is the baglama saz (a turkish lute), how difficult to play is the sarangi? I know you're supposed to use your fingernails to stop the strings.

Also, where did you get yours from?
