Dayton Hamvention 2009 . The Foundation for Amateur International Radio Service (FAIRS) has attend the Hamvention for the past 19 years. This year we hosted FAIRS members Victor Goncharsky US5WE, Helen Goncharsky UR5WA, Alex VE3VDX, Esmond Jones 8R1AK, Michael Herring KE4RGY, Tom King W4VZH, and FAIRS Directors Dave Larsen KK4WW and Gaynell Larsen KK4WWW. FAIRS exhibited at booth 412 and had many visitors and friends stop by and say hi hi. All the delegation attended the DX Dinner and Victor US5WE won a nice door prize. It was great FAIRS gathering and everyone had a wonderful time. We are very pleased and thank the Dayton Amateur Radio Club DARC for the monetary grant awarded to FAIRS for the 3rd year. We are in the Appalachian Music community of Floyd Virginia - I am also making a small museum display of some of my computers available to the public in the Village Green. We are on the "Blue Ridge Parkway" & " The Crooked Road - Virginia's Heritage Music Trail" . A lot of good things here - drop in and see us sometime.
