So you want to help the Chesapeake Bay, or do something to clean up the Chesapeake Bay watershed region, but don't know where to start. Maryland Public Television (MPT) is here to help with its third annual Chesapeake Bay Week Volunteer-a-thon!
Individuals, groups and businesses can donate volunteer hours during MPTs live Volunteer-a-thon (airing Sunday, April 26th at 6 p.m.) or by visiting www.mpt.org/bayweek.
We have opportunities for helping a broad range of environmental groups, ranging from on-site work such as planting grass to answering phones and helping with mailings. Check out what students at the Ruxton Country School in Owings Mills, Maryland, are doing to help the watershed region! Students, their families and staff have already donated 5,000 hours!
