Made with FL Studio 10 and EWQL samples.

I've really been wanting to do another one of these, and since it's been hovering near the top of the moderator panel for some time, I thought I'd give it a go. This piece certainly gave me a difficult time: I always seem to have a lot of trouble getting these kinds of battle themes to flow nicely. It may sound kind of sloppy here and there, but I'm happy with it overall. Next final battle theme will probably be more rock/metal oriented.

EDIT: After giving it a few listens, I wasn't satisfied, so I returned to the piece to patch it up a bit. The original had a lot of underdeveloped segments and ended up sounding kind of choppy. In this version, I tried to develop some of those ideas more so it doesn't sound like a completely random smorgasbord of melodies. I think this version sounds a whole lot better!

  • @OSTBros Which track(s)? I've only heard the ending theme, "Want You Gone."

  • This is amazing, everything flow so well and very appropriate for a final boss theme. Great job.

  • @TimeMechanics Coming from you, that's a big compliment. You're a wonderful composer.

  • Much better than the older one, though the sudden change at the 3-minute mark is still a little jarring.

I never thought I'd say this, but I'm glad you moved away from Megaman songs. xD RPG music is definitely your niche.

  • @SpacemanStrife And I thought I'd never hear someone say it. Thank you, those are very comforting words. Everyone seems to know me for my Mega Man stuff, but it's RPG music I love writing and listening to the most.

  • Needs more dissonance.

  • @HertzDevil Are you being sincere, or are you using rhetoric to suggest there's too much dissonance?

  • I got mixed feelings about this one.

I love the intro and I love every part individually, they're all truly amazing. Although in the end, it seems like a bunch of cool melodies mixed together. the overal result is kinda weird.

  • I love how this final boss theme isn't as "in your face epic" as some other final boss themes are. It's very crazy, at some points very serious and at some points very playful. As said before, a love of epicness without being in your face about it. I could see this being used in a game more... strategic. Something that really makes you think about what your doing. Or perhaps an action rpg, and a tragic final boss that... my god so many ideas racing through my head!! Truly a brilliant piece, Kev

  • I say the beginning sounds a lot like the battle theme from the Pokemon anime. :p

  • Damn, Kevin, someone needs to hire you.

Seriously, have you looked into joining an indie game project? I'd love to see a game with your music.

  • @Kevvviiinnn Yoou're welcome! Keep pursuing your passion, buddy.
