A rainy but fun day on the Pennine Way with lots of bird song and flowers where I didn't see a single other hiker as I crossed farm and moorland.
Leaving Ponden Reservoir I climb over Ickornshaw Moor before dropping into Cowling. Wainman's Pinnacle was barely visible in the murk.
Having lunch in Lothersdale, I continue another few miles to nearby Earby over Elslack Moor before returning to my car.

  • Oh man the cows.. I hate them aswell, had to pass fields several times, and the cows are too curious for their own good.... Think ive developed a sort of fobic thing for the buggers

  • @GudGurus Yeah, I've had bad experiences with cows in the past. When I was a teenager they chased me clear across a field and I only slipped under some barbedwire fencing with a second or two to spare. I'm fine walking through them now, I just have to remember they can be unpredictable
