I found the movie...interesting. But I have no intentions of buying it or even seeing it again. It was Trek in name only; too many plot holes (even for Trek).

I'm a fan from 1966 and beyond. JJ Abrams rewrote the entire series in Star Trek fashion...time travel....and this movie changes everything, well almost everything. Good job!

I just have this to say
I will not sacrifice the Enterprise. We have made too many compromises already, too many retreats. They remake movies, and we fall back. They remake entire series, and we fall back. But not again, the line must be drawn here! This far, no further! We need to make them pay for what they've done!

This new Star Trek is doomed to fail, not only because it's severely overhyped, but because JJ Abrams has pissed off the real fans of the show in favor of his "interpretation" of the franchise.
That's what you get for letting a "non-fan" have his way with an established sci-fi icon.
Thanks for sinking the ship, Abrams.
