It needs to be closer to the flame. It's not the liquid perfume that catches on fire, it's the propellant from the can. You can just get isopropyl alcohol from a pharmacy and put it in a spray bottle if you want the mist to catch on fire.
Careful though because a drop can catch fire and stick to something. Also, it's safer to use a stick lighter so you don't burn your hand.
u r spraying it too low to the lighter so it puts it out before it lights
