This is a flash picture project I did for a class. I used a few different audio clips from famous baseball games including the shot heard round the world, go crazy folks, I don't believe what I just saw, and Buckner game. BTW, I had to put slides in with information on the game for my project. You can skip to around 30 seconds or so for the first audio clip to begin.

  • JOE CARTER'S WALK OF HOME RUN TO WIN THE WORLD SERIES IS NOT OFTEN BROUGHT UP WHEN TALKING ABOUT GREAT MOMENTS IN BASEBALL..IM GUESSING THAT'S DUE TO THE FACT IT WAS A CANADIAN TEAM HE PLAYED FOR WHEN HE HIT THE HOME RUN..

  • @MrThe1123

I actually didn't think about Carter's home run. I had to keep this video under 4 minutes, so I limited my picks to a few that was on top of my head. But Carter was a great one, and he isn't in there as I couldn't include every great moment in the Postseason as I could do a series of videos of it.

  • @MrThe1123 I agree. Some nice moments here but If Carter were with any other (U.S) team and hit a walk-off homer in the 9th for a come-from-behind win to take the world series, it would be on everybody's list and no one would be saying "I didn't think about it" or putting some Ozzie Smith homer from a NLCS game 5 up instead of Carter. LOL. It was certainly not just a great moment but surely in the top 3 GREATEST postseason moments.

  • @TheDaddyCokes The main reason I put Ozzie's home run is because I'm a big Cardinals fan. If I didn't make this video last spring, I would of included David Freese's game 6 walk off home run.

  • What made Scully's call so great was the way he narrated the drama leading up to the homerun, his emotional yet succinct description of the homerun (high-fly ball into right field! Sheeeee is gone!!!), his letting the crowd's reaction tell the story, and then his unscripted poetic summary (In a year that had been so improbable, the impossible just happened!). Classic Skully. Nobody better.

  • @dodgersb4girls I don't deny Scully is a great announcer, and it was a great call. But without the home run is mostly associated with Jack Buck. Since majority of the country aren't Dodgers fans, and the moment is now known more with Buck than Scully outside of Los Angeles, I wanted to use the better known call.

  • Check out classic Vin Scully calls from the late '70s, early '80s Dodgers on my site: dodgerglory. com.

  • @GoldenNinja1045 SRRY...1:09 - 1:18

  • Ozzie Smith was called The Wizard of Oz not The Wizard if u wanna know where it says The Wizard click on this link->:1:09-1:18

  • I was standing @ the sports book @ Ceasar's Palace in LV when Gibby hobbled up to the plate.I told my brother and a few of his buddies that he'll either K or hit a HR.They thought I was crazy.Little did they know.I had a friend who actually went to the game and left early because he figured Dennis Eckersley would mow everyone down in the bottom of the 9th.I guess Yogi Berra was right when he said "It ain't over till it's over".

  • Buckner will always be remembered for that one play. No one remembers that he was a good player with boarder line hall of fame numbers. Also that the Sox had two outs with no body on base and still could not close the deal.

But when it comes to post season moments you could go on forever with which ones should be remembered there are so many. Larsen prefect game, the catch, walk off home runs, 2001 series, the mad dash, gibson and koufax. JT Snow saving Dusty Baker's son

  • You forgot the 1960 World Series; Game 7 was decided by a walk off home run off of Ralph Terry by Bill Mazeroski. The only other time a series was decided in the 7th game by a walk off home run was Joe Carter's 3 run homer off Mitch Williams in the 1993 World Series-you call yourself a baseball fan? BTW, Mazeroski and Roberto Clemente were the only players from the 1960 team active when the Pirates won again in 1971.

  • @pandersonnike Actually uhh, panderson, most people who experienced the game watched it that night on television, and Vin is incomparable! I can still see the brake lights of the exiting idiots in the parking lot light up as Scully yells "She is GONE!"

  • Ummmm...did you ever hear of Kirby Puckett and his homerun to win Game 6 of the 1991 Series...the greatest World Series of all time? Geez, Ozzie Smith in Game 5 of the NLCS.... that's like junior league....
