Just looking at the aileron inputs -- it was pretty much a pilot-induced crash. Did he get disoriented or something. I don't think the balloon on the wing had much bearing on it.

At 0:29 you can see the wrong Aileron input and at the 0:31 mark you can also see the wrong Rudder input. The old adage says, two wrongs don't make a right, unless it's a right turn into the crowd.LOL A little more practice on the sticks or try looking over your shoulder when flying, helps you figure out the right direction to turn. It's only money and nobody got hurt.

It is a game of... use the airplane to pop the balloons... sometimes the balloons win.
