This features the live looping classes I've done in Supercollider. The code still needs a lot of cleaning up. I'll publish it when it's stable and I have implemented an undo function. But as you can see/hear it's quite useable already.

The glitching stuff is inspired by Beardyman and his use of the Korg Kaoss Pad. Everything is done live in Supercollider except for a tiny bit of postprocessing in Live where I put together the screencast. I also used a Boss VE-20 for the voice input and an Akai LPD8 as midi controller.

The song is almost completely improvised. My first release of music done with Supercollider. Thanks to the sc-users mailing list for relentless support!

PS: Somehow I couldn't get the Quicktime video capture and the Supercollider soundfile to align properly. Sorry for that.

  • Ha, atm I'm trying to create a similar looper in Max4life :-)

  • @zab666 Good luck to you

  • I think QuickTime records the Desktop at 15fps I had to expand that to 25 fps (there are many video converters) and then the recorded soundfile synchronized.

    Nice video though :-)

  • @rukano Thanks a lot for the info. I'm gonna try that for my next video.
