  • @bestantonio I take it that you're talking about this particular train, which indeed is going way faster than usual. Normal TGV runs are between 270-300 km/h.

    Of course, since this has a great potential for disaster, maintenance and safety protocols are almost as strict as the ones from airplanes, and in fact, every single fatal TGV accident was on the sections where thre trains run on normal rail with street crossings instead of grade-separated high speed lines.
