i dont thing your watch is suppose to be in there, but all in all nice video
-
where is your lab coat?
-
It is also a good idea to hold the caps of jars and not put anything down. Also you are working over open containers and constantly putting your hand over the open sterile containers which as potential to drop spores into the sterile containers, thus you will be culturing the spores or fungi
-
You should dress a labcoat
-
The watch shouldn't be worn in the lab...
but great video anyways!

Another aspect of our culture hood that has been corrected since this video was shot is the extensive clutter. You'll notice how much stuff is lying around the hood; this disrupts the laminar flow from the back slots and defeats the purpose of the laminar flow entirely. We might just shoot that part of the video over again... Good suggestions, by the way. thanks

Great video! Awesome microscope! Awesome music! One question though- what type of writing instrument was that that you used to write on the petri dish? I couldn't read what it said when you showed it to the camera.
Thanks for posting!

Mara just wrote her name on the Petri dish with a standard Sharpie marker (which wiped off with ethanol) and with a Fisherbrand marking pen (which didn't). The sharpies seem to float around and get used for purposes they aren't tough enough for;)
