That could be a reason. More than likely there was probably some maintenance issues, but thats speculation. Brake linkage could have broken, thats probably the only thing I could think that would cause the failure.

see heres the problem, some churches deside to buy a bus, thats great, BUT, they dont comply with the commercial vehicle regulations, and thats why his brakes failed. had they done propor pre and post trip inspections, as well as government inspections, this may have been avoided. My old church wanted to have a 15 passenger van (legaly a bus), but did they have me drive it? (I was a bus driver at that time) no.
