The beach that has no end - Última cena de Casa de Areia

Last scene from Casa de Areia (The House of Sand), shot in Lençóis Maranhenses - northeast of Brazil, in 2003, by Andrucha Waddington, with brazilian first dame of theatre Fernanda Montenegro in a rare double role, mother and daughter after their saga in the movie. Btw, it's not a great movie but there's a really beautiful photography. This is the best scene, when the daughter returns, thks to her the actress, to Chopin Prelude Op 28 No 15, to the moon lines and to the gorgeous landscape. In the movie (not in this cut) there is the interesting participation of 3 good musicians: Luiz Melodia, Seu Jorge and Jorge Mautner. In the story, in a kind of Buñuel's sindrome, she never leaves those dunes, ever... the beach that has no end.

I found this film quite by accident two years ago. I can't believe I didn't know about anyone involved in it because it is all so very good. It is one of my favorites. I recommend it to everyone. FAVORITE!
