This is my personal benchmark project for 2009. The video shows working steps and different render passes i used throughout the making of this painting. For specific info about the painting and wallpapers check here: http://v5.tigaer-design.com/?p=539

  • Which version of Vue did you use for this? Did you model all the structures in Vue or somewhere else then export them there? I've never even heard of it until now (I use 3dsMax, Rhino, and Maya for my architecture work), but this kind of imagery is fantastic. Would really like to incorporate it into my workflow.

  • @GuyNeilJames I think it was vue7 or 7.5... not entirely sure right now. In the desription is a link that should explain it all. Glad you like it. Thanks.

  • dude, the sunlight and cloud

you did it in photoshop or vue?

  • @kisukehc the coulds were rendered separately in vue and composed into the picture with photoshop. due to the long render times of clouds (volumetric materials) i found it easier to do a standalone render of them. the sun is pretty much photoshop.

  • @tigaerreal how much did you done in vue i wonder

was it already textured when rendered from vue or maybe you paint them in photoshop?

was the lighting reflection and shading thingy in vue/photoshop? (because i see a massive light there lol)

    thanks in advance :)

  • @kisukehc It seems youtube doesnt allow links in comments so please check the description of the vid. There's a link to the painting on my site. There should be more specific info. When it comes to the movie then everything up to second 31 is purely vue.
