Documentario che ripercorre la vita dell'autrice della celeberrima saga letteraria di Harry Potter: J. K. Rowling. Ci si sofferma in particolare nell'arco di tempo che precede l'uscita sul mercato dell'ultimo romanzo ("Harry Potter e i Doni della Morte"), testimoniando le "pressioni" che l'autrice ricevette nell'arduo compito di non deludere i milioni di fan. Particolarmente significativo il passato della scrittrice, un passato che "giustifica" l'umiltà della donna, pur essendo oramai una delle persone più facoltose al mondo.
