@pecosojones89 Actually this is one of my favorite question I get in the firearms industry. Guns are like cars. Cars drive you home from work, gun shoot a bullet. Some are better than others. It just comes down to cost and what looks good to you as the buyer. The 226 is just a big honking gun and great for the range, but not easy to carry concealed. The feel, fit and cost will be the deciding factor between the 229 and the 2022. I own both and love both equally.

Thank you for the great review and explanations on this line. I am a fan of polymer guns (being someone who only owned Glock handguns before) and the SP2022 drew me in. I picked up one last year in .40S&W and this year bought a 357 barrel for it so I could experience that cartridge as well. My question is do you like the double action trigger pull of the 2022? I find that I have to press too far back and does not give me a good feel when the weapon will fire. I don't have a problem with S/A

@002nd2nunn It is a long double action. The trigger has to bottom out at the back of the trigger guard before the sear lets go which puts a strain on your trigger finger (IMHO). I've shot this gun enough where I've forgotten about it. I'll say one thing, it's no GLOCK that for sure.
