Last month, Toyota issued a massive recall of nearly 4 million Toyota and Lexis vehicles. The recall is intended to fix a very dangerous defect which can lead to Unintended Acceleration of the vehicle. Initially thought to be an issue with floor mats, the real problem involves the cars electronic throttle system. The recall was prompted by a high speed crash in August in California of a Lexus barreling out of control. As the vehicle hit speeds exceeding 120 mph, family members made a frantic 911 call and said the accelerator was stuck and they couldnt stop the vehicle.

Most people are idiots, and should learn how to stop a car that is out of control. Toyota's only negligence was falsely admitting to a 'sticky pedal' issue, in order to alleviate the invalid criticism about unintended acceleration.

Most people don't know how to stop a car that is out of their control because it shouldn't be happening in the first place. The average person does know....but because of Toyota's negligence the whole world knows now to to try and stop a accelerated vehicle.

All this is a dirty strategy by American manufacturers, to slow Toyota sales.

These people are just dumb. Firstly, they don't notice a floor mat locking their acceleration. Second, they don't know how to shut the car off.

Some people just don't like their lives. Honestly, YOU are the driver and YOU are in charge. They can't tell me, that a floormat obstructs my ability to stop a vehicle. If you head towards a concrete wall, you will do everything to stop the car. 100% operator mistakes.

You do realise that this issue doesn't affect every Toyota, right?
