On February 6th, 2010, during a major snowstorm, here in the Northeastern U.S., I got a call from my good friend, Dave Bupp (lead singer of The Magnificent Men). In our conversation, Dave mentioned how much he enjoyed the video clips of The Mag Men that I posted from our show in Harrisburg, back in 1983. He also seemed a bit surprised at how many of their records are here on YT, as well. He said the only track missing from the singles was "Almost Persuaded" (Capitol-2202). Originally intended as the A-side, it wound up being the flip to "I Found What I Wanted In You" (another great ballad by the group). The track was recorded in Chicago, during their sessions with the legendary Carl Davis in 1968 - and Dave really tears up on this one. The "hint" came through loud & clear...so, here it is Mr. Bupp! This now completes the "single sides" of The Magnificent Men, here on YouTube. From me to you and the rest of the world. Enjoy "Professor"......
I love you, my Brother!
