I shut the phone and threw it on the seat beside me. I struggled with my purse to find the Vera Wang perfume I had bought that morning. Finding it, I sprayed it all over me. My outfit was slutty enough, since the over-sized t-shirt came down no longer than my wrists when I stood up and the orange leggings were practically see through. It took about twenty minutes to get from the store to Joe’s hotel. When we finally arrived, I tried to look around to see if Aly was here. If she was, she was doing a really good job of hiding.
"“Ready Ace?"” Joe asked walking over to my car and opening the door for me.
“"Yeah."” I climbed out, barely ajusting my shirt as I went.
“"You look good Ace. Still wearing your own style. You know, I always loved that about you.”"
“"You did? You never told me that.”"
“"Well I probably should have. That’s one of the reasons you caught my eye four years ago.”"
“"Hmm.”"
“"What are you thinking?”"
“"Nothing.”"
“"I don’t buy it."”
I knew he wouldn’'t "“it’s just..."” I paused for some dramatic effect.
“"Just what?"” he opened the door to his hotel room and flicked on the lights.
“"Just that... I was always curious to what made you choose her over me."” I needed to force him into my trap. This would work perfectly and make what came later easier.
“"Oh, Aqua. Don’t do this to me.”" he shoved my milk carton onto the metal shelf in his refrigerator.
“"Joe. I think I deserve to know.”"
“"Argh. Fine. But remember, you asked.”" he sat down in the oversized armchair in the corner. He then patted his lap for me to sit down too. I forced myself to hesitate, then walk over slowly and place myself comfortably in his lap.
“"Comfy?"” he smiled and I smiled in response. “"Okay. I chose her over you because...well she didn’t doubt me for one second when the truth came out. You refused to listen to me. And I know that doesn’t make what I did right, but you didn’t give me time to make things right. She stood by me while you ran and hid. So I ran too.”"
“"Joe, I wasn’t hiding. I was heartbroken. Do you realize how much that killed me inside? And of course she didn’t go anywhere. You cheated on me with her, not the other way around. Obviously she wasn’t going anywhere. And when I finally got up enough strength to talk to you, without having to fight the urge to kill you, you were gone.”"
“"Awh Aqua. You don’t know how truly sorry I am. I wish we could rewind time and I could make all this right. I’ll make it up to you, I promise.”"
“"How?"” I caressed his face with my left hand. “"Do you realize you have years to make up for? I was in love with you Joseph and you told me you loved me too. Then when things got tough, you ran? It never made any sense to me.”"
I could feel his heartbeat racing as he took deep breaths.
“"I can only think of one way- and Rachel would never approve."”
“"Since when do you ask for someone’s approval when doing anything?"” I raised one eyebrow and put on my best confused face, so it looked like I had no idea what he was about to suggest. "“Plus, Rachel’s not here, is she?”"
“"Okay. But we don’t tell anyone about this.”"
“"Deal. What’s the plan?"”
Joe smiled, picked me up and carried me into the bedroom. He placed my on the bed, which was still unmade from the night before, and tore off his shirt, revealing his perfectly toned body. He grinned and bent over me. His lips found mine and his tongue slid across my bottom lip. I let him in and after a few moments, he pulled away.
“"I like this plan.”" the words escaped my lips before I could stop them. But Joe just smiled, and leaned toward me again, this time kissing my neck. I felt his hands find the bottom of my shirt and begin to pull. I let him sit me up and pull the shirt completely off and over my head. His warm hands gripped my sides gently as he kissed my forehead, lips, throat, then chest. My bra was off seconds later, laying in a heap next to his skinny jeans. It only took a few more minutes for my leggings and underwear to join them. His hands left my body to remove his underwear and moments later, he was holding my legs. I let out a soft sigh as he traced his hands from my feet to my chest.
“"You ready?"” he whispered. My response was another sigh as he traced his hands back to my legs. I could see him grinning behind my closed eyes. He gently pulled my legs apart and hitched them to his hips. I let out a deep moan as he entered me. It was uncontrollable. And he was good. I didn’t have to tell him to go faster or harder, it was like he already knew. I laid there as he moved back and forth over me. Once I cried out for him to stop, and he slowed down. I felt his warm hands crawl up my chest. I moaned and he started again. After what seemed like days (but what really only about an hour) he pulled out and crawled next to me to lie down.
