@beckmaaaaaan To be honest i think i would prefer it, prison in Australia isnt like prison in the USA for example.. womens prisons in Australia are nasty violence is worse there then in the mens, also i would be place in protective custody if i was to be imprisoned, im unsure if i would be able to continue HRT, (i might cheak up on that, as it could be administered by a nurse).. ill get back to you.. Racism here is very real, but authorities try to keep it at bay
I lived in one of the most transfriendly places, but people still used to target trans people and there were a few incidents. I don't stand out being pre T, so I've been all right. When I was arrested on an unrelated matter though, they weren't very respectful of my rights as a transperson, like calling me the right name, treating me as male, respecting my privicy or my needs (like having the STP device in the cell). So even progressive places need their awareness raised.
i feel so fortunate at the moment, living in Australia we are protected by hate crime legislation, in saying that ive never had an issue with law enforcement, im sure if i was to commit a crime then i would be discriminated against and the issue would become complex, and i would be placed in a womens prison until if had the necassary procedures done.... but hate crime legislation seems to be working here...

@ljuze Would you be able to be moved to the mens prison and would you want that? Cos i wouldn't know where to feel mostly unsafe..
Good that the legislation works in Australia, im happy to here that. It's not causing more Racism for instance?

@BecomingAdrian True, I don't think there's any place in the world that doesn't need their awareness raised. Thank you for commenting!
