  • @mauricioD Plenty of piano! Very nice sensitive playing! A pleasure to hear the piano not overwhelming the strings who carry the melodic line much of the time!

    The balance is remarkably good!

  • @mauricioD I think that may be due to microphone placement. Trifonov certainly has no lack of power and finesse.

  • I think it s an outstanding glance into the eyes of Schumann.

  • Not quite enough piano presence as the piece calls for, perhaps. Good ensemble playing, certainly better than from some recordings heard. The quintet is no easy task.

  • Daniil is an absolutely excellent chamber pianist as well as soloist. It's hard to switch from soloist to chamber pianist, but of course our genius Trifonov does it flawlessly....
