Playing guitar or bass with two-handed tapping or touchstyle technique is fun and easy. It's even easier with a specialty touch style instrument. This shows what you can do using the Easy Touch-Style Method. First of a series of videos from Mobius Megatar www.megatar.com.

  • You know, I don't actually personally know anyone in Metallica. If I meet some of them, I'll ask.

    :)

  • It's possible to play it like a normal bass/guitar if needed, but it's using one instrument with it's strengths to act like some other instrument. For example, you *could* take a ukulele and with correct sound processing, get a "death metal" sounds, but it's way simpler to simply play a guitar. But, yes, there are people who do play the instrument as a bass or as a guitar, when that's useful to do. :)

  • great salesman

  • Well, thank you!

I studied sales, many years ago. And I discovered that there are many ways you can increase the odds of making a sale. But of these various methods, the straight and simple methods seem to work the best in the long run ...

You just try to talk about what's important, and talk to the person who might want to have this kind of thing. And if you communicate clearly, and show what's possible, then the dreams of the person and the virtues of the thing match up.

    Everybody happy!

  • How do you tune a 12 stringer (I mean.. what is the tuning?) ?

  • Go to the Mobius Megatar website (search on Google) and go to the Library and there you can download the Owner's Guide, which spells out the most popular tunings.

However, our recommended tuning (for fastest learning and clarity) is called BassBottom. The bass strings are exactly like a six-string bass, and the melody strings are like a guitar at fret three, with three additional lower frets available.

Usually on the melody side, however, we tune in straight fourths, which makes scales easy!
