@gamblemadman for what it's worth the australian featured here ended up with no money and did regret many of the things he was involved in, this news story is only a snapshot of a much longer and more complicated story, between the end of the cold war and beginning of war on "terror" the world was even more complicated than it is now. most of the rest of that team finished up the same way, the only millionairre amongst them never got to enjoy his wealth.

@ivanovichrocks LOL ... why would you expect better? They arn't given lessons on ethics ... they're taught how to infiltrate, spy, kidnap and kill. Hardly skills that reflect normal humanity.

When they retire they dont have the skills to do normal civillian work so they end up being hired mercenaries. Some of em end up being millionares if they play their cards right.

Mercenaries dont feel shame ... they only care about money.
