Hey guys, it's Woody The Unexceptional Gamer, and this is a weekly series I have with Machinima where I give gaming tips.

And right now I'm trying to find tips that apply to Black Ops, even though I need to use footage from older Call of Duties. This is my friend, Socrates, and we are going to look at something that he does when he gets into close quarter combat situations.

So watch this first and fourth kill. So here's kill number one. He wins that. The second and third kills are a little bit of distances situation. And then here comes kill number four. I want to look at those first and fourth kills one more time. What you're going to see when I get the footage rolling again, is that he starts to shoot before he starts to aim.

So he sorta begins with a hip-fire and then brings the site up. He doesn't wait for the site to come up before he starts shooting.

Let's take another look. Did you catch that? I'll play it at regular speed again until we get to the fourth kill. So the first time I saw this it was actually Hutch pointing it out to Sart and the idea here is that you don't have to wait to start shooting bullets before your sites come all the way up. You can start shooting as your sights come up, and you'll get some bullets on target before he does.

The whole point in Call of Duty, it being such a quick kill game is to get your two or three bullets into that guy before he gets two or three bullets into you. So there's no sense in waiting for your sight to come up, just start shooting.

@Madb0mber77 Well this noob got a 62 and 4 and other great games with the default layout. I tried getting used to the tactical layout but I don't find it convenient to jump from the joystick to circle or B to get an up close knife kill. So not everyone who plays with the default layout is a noob.
