Poor old chimp. Taken away from his family at birth just so he could amuse us sorry lot of human beings. Cheeta deserved to live his life out with other chimps. Most likely some of his family members died trying to protect him as he was being stolen from them as an infant. By the way, that chimp smile you see is not a happy chimp but a fearful one.
Thankfully, a new understanding is emerging that these intelligent and majestic beings deserve better.
