After about 2 weeks of work here and there in the garage, the car is starting to make progress. We've sanded the whole thing except for the intriquet parts too small for a hand sander, we've taken off the rear bumper and most of the chrome. We will be patching the minor holes next week and painting it by spring break. Stay tuned for more updates.
Had to subscribe. I just bought the same car for $800 this weekend. Over 90% complete as far as original parts on the car , runs, drives, stops and only 1 spot of through the metal rust. 390 auto. I am fixing electrical gremlins that previous owners caused. I can not find a fuse box! Is there not a fuse box for 62 Galaxie 500s?

@woodlandcammo27 Thanks man I appreciate it, and yeah I got this thing for about $700 and put about 6 grand into it. And yes there is a fusebox, not much though lol only 4 or 5 glass fuses in it. If you look where the key ignition is, almost on the direct opposite side of the dash is that little "box" it's a pain to get to since its fixed there, I plan on ripping out the whole dash eventually and redoing all the wiring from scratch, I hate fuseable links

@Ebaum744 Jeezus. I saw that box and it does not look like a fusebox at all. Just saw a rats nest of wires. Another question I had was tail lamps and parking/turnsignal lamps. Does yours have backup lights/lenses? The parking/turn signal lamp covers were clear. Do you put yellow bulbs in them or kep them clear? Thank you for the responses.

@woodlandcammo27 Yea mine has reverse lights, but I gotta redo the wiring cause it's dinked right now, but my parking lights/turn signals up front have amber lenses, '62 was the year they changed from clear to amber, so some galaxies came with them clear and the rest came with amber, I do believe I just used clear bulbs, I can't remember I haven't taken a look in a long time, if you have any more questions just gimme a shout and I'll try to help ya! Thanks for the sub!
