The FJ55 is quite scarce, especially one that is not a rust bucket. This 55 has been in Southern Ca it's whole life. We have cared for it since 1998 when we restored it Stage Two for our customer and friend. He has serviced it with us ever since, and the truck has served him well. When we did it, we stripped it to a bare body on frame, and repainted in in original gray and white. All w/s was replaced, along with lights and emblems. Trim and rims are powder coated. Mechanically we updated it with a crate GM 350 with Edlebrock fuel injection, a 700R4 automatic with overdrive, and a mid 1970's transfer case. Power steering in the stock style. plus quality A/C system. All upholstery, carpet, door panels and headliner restored with new. New door handles as well. Front seat belts have been updated to three point seat belts. Insulation and marine carpet front to back, plus mats. Rear carpet is double layered and removable (flawless white floor beneath). Amplified Alpine audio with AM/FM/CD and Bluetooth for phone. Four speakers built into kick panels and cargo side panels. A quality truck. Well cared for. Not new, nor perfect, but one of the nicest FJ55's you will find. These are now very expensive to restore, as most body and trim components are no longer readily available.

  • Very nice looking SUV. This is definitely what an SUV is. Nothing fancy about it, no power windows and door locks. Just what makes an SUV an SUV.

  • i bought one in the bay area ... 3 to 4% rust... hardly any... no dents... 76,000 miles 2F engine... 4 on the floor, Grant Steering wheel, GM Steering Box... new paint... sits on brand new 33's...

    Six Thousand Five Hundred Dollars....

Never spend this kind of money on a Cruiser.... I have three of them...

I even have an 83' I bought for 1800 bucks... it runs like a dream and has almost 300,000 on it...

no matter how nice this truck is... they stuck a Chevy in it....

    LAME!!!

  • damn! that is nice!!
