Stealth Effect Test

After a few hours of tutorials and continuous masking and rotoscoping, I was able to turn myself into Solid Snake. This was a fun effect to create yet so time consuming if you don't use a green screen.

I took blank footage of the background/foreground for a few seconds and then walked across. Then I split the footage and layered me walking across on top of the blank. Then I rotoscoped myself (which took many hours) and turned it into a displacement map and voila, distorted stealth.

I plan to use this for a future film project for my school's film festival (and probably others) which will also be uploaded to YouTube.

This is going to mark the start of my pursuit into online film and production. I hope to start up a new channel with all my productions in one place. Any support will be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much for watching my little beginner videos.
