i didnt know that there was a us empire

@katakisLives Excuse my French, but you're full of shit.
And, for the love of the Great Spaghetti Monster, use fullstops.

@Lukege15 I don't see any contradiction there! America can both have a chequered past and be a force for good as well! the kind of views that lead to Nazism were relatively common in the thirties especially! the fact there hasn't been another world war can probably be mostly attributed to America power in the world! no nation can get as powerful as the US without some misdeeds along the way but the world is a safer place with the US as the major power than any of the alternatives.

Pathetically obvious "from Russia, with love..."
-
@katakisLives "you go back far enough no nations really come up smelling of roses!"
You don't have to go back AT ALL to find the evil of the USA.
"Hitler did indeed get a lot of ideas from books and pamphlets that came from America, that's no secret!"
Then don't fucking say (shout!) that them winning WWII made them a force for good. Are you trying to contradict yourself?
No North American Holocaust= No Nazi Holocaust. It's as simple as that, they have never been a force for good. Despicable.
-
@katakisLives Jeez! did you really have to shout all that?
"yes they intervened in ww2 for not entirely altruistic reasons but every nation has to look after its own interests there's nothing wrong with that!"
There is:
1. Because that's not morally good.
2. You stated they were a force for good.
You do realize colonization of other people's land began with the United States? Prior to that empires had made land claims but it was with the American Revolution that full-on native-cide began.
-
@Lukege15 Hitler did indeed get a lot of ideas from books and pamphlets that came from America, that's no secret! even Eugenics was considered back then! a lot of US industrialists supported what the Nazi regime did! most notably The International Jew a series of pamphlets published by Henry Ford! you go back far enough no nations really come up smelling of roses! and no one's arguing about what the British empire got up to at its height!
-
@Lukege15 Of course the Aztecs had nothing to do with what was going on in north America! that was just an example of another native population that was slowly wiped out by western incursion! and everyone knows that "the west" is a generic term to describe the developed nations of Europe and America! and yes they intervened in ww2 for not entirely altruistic reasons but every nation has to look after its own interests there's nothing wrong with that!
-
Plus: the only reason the US 'saved' you was because their economy would go to shit otherwise. They did amazingly well out of WWII.
-
@katakisLives "we would have lost WW2 without their help we can never forget that!"
That would have been a shame. Considering Hitler got ALL of his heinous ideas from Britain and the US. Concentration camps had been used by Americans for a 100 years (dating back to the Trail of Tears, I suggest you learn some history), and Britain used them in Africa. Let's not forget the UK has the most despicable history - much worse than Nazi Germany.
@Kardiatheon
How long has England been around ? Ireland and plenty of other countries have been around a lot longer than the US. Your culture goes back 300 years... that's nothing. There are bars in my country older than the US.

220 000 Japanese were killed in the attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. 6 million Jews were killed in the Holocaust. 9 million people were killed by the Inquisition. 100 million blacks were killed in slavery. And they want to convince us that the September 11th (dead 3000) was the largest terrorist act in history?
