  • @antinomy777 I don't think that she is speaking about people w/ real mental illness, more like those who have gotten into a negative rut in life because of their preoccupation w/ negative thoughts. Science shows your brain changes based on experiences & repeated thoughts. Obviously if you have a chemical imbalance, you can't "think" your way healthy. But I never hear her mentioning mental illness or saying this will cure it.

  • @95thousandroses i used to think that as well...you're whole perspective on life changes when you stare death in the face, trust me.

  • You silly goons. God isn't real.....lulz

  • I went to a church, which was very Positive. It said, we are exegetical, we are superior to other churches. The Pastor taught JOY, often. The message was, "IF YOU were Really a Christian, you would have Joy". The message was always, be ye well Joyed!!! I saw a sad and HURTING woman come in one Sunday, OH the look on her face, the way she walked! The Pastors message was again, this is the happy joy filled church. He said mean people suck and gave examples. That lady needed LOVED. Thoughts YES!

  • @StrengthFromAbove83 One day in a Bible study we discussed free will and predestination. If you take either to its extreme, it makes perfect sense, but it negates the other concept. Hence the term, antinomy. I would Promote the concept of Positive and Developmental Thought. The brain like a muscle, can be expanded by proper use. However, I would include it in a program of progressive mental health not excluding other solutions. It is NO Silver Bullet. Forgiveness IS burying what should die.

  • @StrengthFromAbove83 The secular world has two answers to every problem- more funding and more research/education. Research is just that, research, seeking, not a determined solution. I have a sister who is into holistic healing, she will take otc herbs but not prescribed medication. She is Very Positive but if she were to have cancer she would refuse treatment. I am FOR Positive Realistic thoughts. I understand the human need to have hope purpose faith and a reason to continue. My Mom had MS.

  • @StrengthFromAbove83 People who are Realists, see what is, do what is necessary. The human body and mind are a Very Complex Matrix. I have seen people who are very positive and avoid facing reality. Focusing on resolution to the problem(s), seeing everything in the moment in context using wisdom and not myth. Seeking God and valued concerned friends and family. Those who are suicidal will have distinct reasons, a mix of physiological psychological emotional and spiritual reasons. Each unique.

  • @antinomy777 FYI: someone that wants to commit suicide does NOT need medication. They need to control their thoughts and eat better foods in the MAJORITY of cases. People are just magically "sick in the head", it takes practice. You are misinterpreting what Dr. Leaf is saying.

  • @antinomy777 This is NOT "Christian science". She is not even saying that sickness is caused by "incorrect belief". A simple understanding of the Russian Martial Art of Systema will even help you understand this stuff. If you feed negative thoughts and attitudes into your life, your heart rate increases, tenses muscles, etc... It ALL starts with thought. This is common knowledge. She isn't saying you shouldn't take medicine. Only a fool would think she's saying that.

  • The stuff this woman speaks of is PROVEN in current MS research today. People that are POSITIVE are THAT MUCH MORE capable of overcoming MS, than those that are negative.
