The story of Cleopatra, the famous queen of Egypt. Having been driven out of the palace by her jealous brother, she regains her title with the help of the visiting Roman emperor, Julius Caesar. Determined to unite Egypt and Rome in a great empire, she seduces him and bears his child. After he is murdered, she works her wiles on his general, Marc Antony. • @beRIGHTperson I think you need to sort your history out a bit. You are correct in that Egypt was ruled by the Greek Ptolemys since the time of Alexander the Great (c.350 b.c.). However it was not Arab/Muslim until the conquests of the 7th c. A.D. some 600 years after the time of Cleopatra Vll. . Between 4th c. and the 7th c. it was part of the Christian Byzantine Empire (The Eastern Roman Empire)

  • @PrinceChris93 Cleopatra was a daughter of king Philip of Macedonia and Queen Olimpias her older brother was prince Alexander. Cleopatra is a Greek name not African and not Egyptian. Egypt was officially the Arab Republic. But it's not Africa it was the muslim country.

    The search for Cleopatra-National Geographic.

    By Chip Brown

Cleopatra VII was born in Egypt, but she was descended from a lineage of Greek kings and queens who had ruled Egypt for nearly300years.The Ptolemies of Macedonia are one of history's most flamboyant dynasties, famous not only for wealth and wisdom but also for bloody rivalries and the sort of"family values"that modern-day exponents of the phrase would surely disavow, seeing as they included incest and fratricide.

  • It was very unlikely that she was black because her father Ptolemy XII Auletes is Macedonian and mostly like had her with a family member! and even if he did have her with an Egyptian woman she would still not be black because ancient Egyptians were predominantly Caucasian.

  • It is mostly like she is Mediterranean because she was born to Ptolemy XII Auletes, who is of Macedonian heritage and probably had Cleopatra with his sister, cousin or another family member!

  • @policeman7093

AHAHA you wish! She is not eastern European for sure! she is Mediterranean (Greek or Macedonian)

  • @beRIGHTperson

She wasn't black but she sure was ugly (go google her coins)

  • @chinchillacat2008

She did not have blonde hair, she had dark hair and olive skin! You want to make her seem as if shes Nordic (like German, English or something) but shes Mediterranean!

  • @beRIGHTperson

The Cleopatra featured in this movie is Cleopatra the 7th and is the daughter of Ptolemy XII Auletes so get your facts right!

  • Nice rubber sword guy...LMAO

  • she was ugly compares to nefirteti

  • Check out my renditions of Anastasia (1956) & Lassie Come Home (1943)!
