Von Roll Skyride, New York City 2001

This is a complete ride, in both directions, on the recently-dismantled Von Roll skyride at the Bronx Zoo in New York City. Opened in 1973, the skyride known as the Skyfari last operated in 2008. This footage of the Skyfari was taken in August of 2001.

The Bronx Zoo Skyfari featured unusually-shaped towers with curved arms at the tops. Apparently the only other Von Roll skyride with towers like this is the Skyfari at the San Diego Zoo in California. The San Diego Von Roll skyride continues to operate.

very sad its gone..ill allways cherrish the vr101 grip and hangar arm i have from this great vr101..
