My own interpretaion of Brian May Guitar Solo.
Gear chain: 1980s Tokai Silver Sound Strat Japan---Gray DOD 250 clone---Akai E2 Head Rush set on Tape Echo mode---3 small combo amps (Akai mix output to Marshall Lead 12 combo, 1st output to Peavey Micro Bass combo, 2nd output to Laney LA35C Acoustic combo)

    thanks I very appreciated it. never heard John Martyn until you mentioned it. yes, after listening to small hours, it sound a quite similar in the beginning. I just copy the sound of church organ though.

    I used tape echo mode setting and 3 outputs to 3 different combos, delay times is around 750-800ms it's depend on your tempo of playin.

  • This sounds more like 'small hours' by John Martyn, The first minute at least, can you tell me the settings you used on the headrush for that first 60 seconds sound please?

    nice job man, if you haven't heard it already, check out John Martyn using echoplex you will see what I mean if you listen to 'small hours.
