Have you ever felt like an outsider? Dr. Leonard Felder has some strategies for finding friends and allies at school, home, and the office. And he tells you why sometimes not fitting in is not such a bad thing. He is author of "Fitting In is Overrated." Plus, musician Don Herron; he's always marched to the beat of a different drummer.
Leonard Felder, PhD is articulate in expressing issues related to his book, Fitting in Is Overrated. This book should be shared with young people going off to college- to prepare themselves emotionally, when trying to fit in with whom they perceive as popular or powerful. A wonderful new take on responding to one's feeling like an outsider-- and developing the skills to successfully navigate their lives, creating a support system, being "true" to themselves, etc. LOVED the interview and book!

christina aguilera suffered at school, it was vicious for her to her, her classmates envied and slandered her for her beautiful voice, charisma, and beauty...the story is more detailed than that. She had to transfer many times, but still her classmates were still resentful of her....
i wanted to be popular so badly....hiphop dance company made me look cool and enpowered...my experience of dance opened their eyes to me if i did not fit their status.
