At all of the people with negative comments! I myself am a 27 year old mother of three, I was married to their father for 7 years until he decided to choose drugs and prison over his family. I had a tubal ligation after my third child almost 7 years ago. I am now engaged to a wonderful man that has no children and as soon as we are settled in our marriage I am going to have the reversal surgery to give him a child. Different life situations bring you to different decisions.

@MazzyDreamer mine was court ordered at age 25 and I was never happier. and NO thoughts of ever changing MY mind. I do NOT want to be tied down with kids ever!! I hate the little fuckers!

@StoningOrion well I HATE kids, have lupus and a severe anger disorder known as RAD which was never treated. So uh yea, I'd be dangerous around kids. my surgery was court ordered and after 12 yrs I still have no regrets. CANNOT stand kids.

@MazzyDreamer @MazzyDreamer Your comments and thoughts are perfectly reasonable, but have you considered that some women make the choice based not on their personal feelings, but on their situation? If you want to be a mother, but are in a horrible place in life that is absolutely not conducive to the raising of healthy children, tubal ligation may seem like the best possible solution, but it can very hard to close that door permanently.

Dr.'s, however, shouldn't be allowed to refuse to perform such surgery based on the idea that you might change your mind when your older. If not having children is so important to someone that they're willing to risk surgery, then it is probable that they won't change they're minds, or that they're taking the situation too lightly.

This retarded...if you have your tubes tied and then change your mind and want a reversal you deserve a slap in the face. Because you stupid women like this, I am unable to get approved to have my tubes tied (I have no kids, I'm 27) Doctors won't take the risk on me b/c they fear I will want a reversal...because so many idiot women have regrets. YOU DON'T DESERVE TO HAVE ANOTHER BABY!!! Stop posing an negative externality for those who really don't want kids or anymore or anymore of them.
