" You get what you pay for" is the key phrase underlying any complaints, not only about this bike, but most products. You can get a cheap electric bike at most 'Marts" or a big sporting goods store, but just like Ford or Chevy you're gonna get the cheapest parts on that model. If you get an Izip at an Izip dealer the quality is much better than the Ezip model at a department store. The service is bound to be much better because the dealer has a reputation to protect. It's more convenient.
I bought an izip zuma cruiser style bike, got about 320 miles on it and have had no problems except 1 flat tire caused by a huge nail that would have flattened any tire no matter how good.
Look, the guy OBVIOUSLY had probs with his bike. If the DEALER he bought it from took care of him properly he wouldn't have made this vid. ANYTHING that a person makes can have probs, no design is bulletproof OR people proof. The difference is DO they take care of any reasonable probs that come up?
You started to lose me when you were talking about getting flats. MAYBE if the RIM design was flawed and was puncturing the tube? Dunno, never hard of this on ANY kind of bike, so I can't say.
lol the 1st problem he had was that he ate too much McDonalds and grew to over 1000 lbs in just over 6 WEEKS! then he had to have a new liver flown in from China .. but all he got was the run-around! it's too bad they make such a bad product lmao .. whoops blew a tire again ^^
this video is bogus... I am a dealer for currie and we get exceptional support and fast response for any parts or warranty needs. Also, the design is superior to anything else in their price range. Don't listen to this guy.. he doesn't even compare the product or service to anything else on the market. Clearly just an uninformed and aggravated consumer with some cheap video editing software trying to hurt this company.. for reasons unknown.

If the tires are cheap and nasty why don't you replace them with good quality aftermaket tires?
