We Interrupt this LATE Halloween Video ...

... to bring you an embarrassingly abysmal performance involving accents other than the video maker's own.

I am the queen of, if nothing else, weird videos, but this is an emergency redirection of a video I'd planned for Halloween, for the purpose of dissuading a You Tuber of note (Ockteby) from closing his account. I don't think he'll actually do it, although that is his right and decision, but I'll pull any rabbit out of the hat possible to keep him from doing it

... inclusive of subscribing to renetto. :)

Ordinarily, any video I might make about the Civil War would be a little more serious, and these days I'd probably put it on my LonerBirdCastle account. On the other hand, this is an emergency (maybe. Maybe not. I don't know.), so I've quickly incorporated it into a Halloween video I'd been planning. As a result, the Halloween video is late, and at least two U.S. Civil War generals are turning over in their graves.

My recitation, poor, I regret, is taken from the Gods and Generals movie dialogue of the first meeting between Thomas Jackson [CS] (played by Stephen Lang. Thomas Jackson was eventually immortalized in the annals of U.S. Civil War history as "Stonewall" Jackson), and then Col. James Ewell Brown ("J.E.B.") Stuart [CS] (played by Joseph Fuqua). Jackson was attached to the "black flag policy" (utter destruction of the enemy), and believed that it was the most advantageous strategy by which to secure ultimate victory.

Gods and Generals depicts, in stunningly authentic fashion, the time period of the Chancellorsville Campaign, and culminates with the dramatic death of Stonewall Jackson. Much of the dialogue is accurate to the letter, although -- to the best of my knowledge -- not the recitation in my video.

HAHA! George, I thought I'd answered this comment before. Sorry! The person I made this video for watches Renetto and has sometimes commented on him. That's why I did it. :)
