  • Education starts at home with good parenting. Unfortunately most households require that both parents work to make ends meet. This can be attributed to a ridiculous tax rate, given to us by Obama and his Democratic friends in the name of helping us. GW McCain and the Republicans suck too, with their never ending expensive wars. They have brought our economy to it's knees. Obama or Hillary will just make it worse though. We are fucked!!!!And we did it to ourselves.

  • The Federal gov't has no business being involved in Education at all. That's the state and local govt's job. One day people will realize that anytime the federal gov't is involved in anything the price goes up and the quality goes down. The US gov't needs to be downsized to a manageable size. Protect our individual liberties and print our money, that's all they are required to do. Instead they do everything but their constitutional requirements. It makes no sense.

  • And after reviewing my own post... public education needs to improve greatly. :)

  • How long would take to investigate successful teaching methods, and reform the entire US- a period of four to eight years? This sounds like good excuse for endless grad work/grants. If the nation wants to get serious about public education, it will stop imagining that simply voting once will make all the difference. Public teaching is more like gorilla warfare than a one stop ideal candidate shop.

Children aren't well educated concerning how our own government works, let alone foreign ones.
