Over the weekend

A car crashed into a Revere home on Hall Street, damaging a structural beam in the home, said Revere Fire Chief Eugene Doherty. The vehicle apparently struck the home while backing up. The Building Department was notified.

In Melrose a lightening strike hit the home of a Medford Firefighter setting the house on fire. Melrose Fire called in surrounding communities to help fight the fire and for coverage.

On Lebanon Street in Melrose, a homeowner avoided near disaster when a huge tree split and fell narrowly missing the home.

Out of all these events, no injuries were reported.
