Thing is, you can't JUST pray for japan. It's just like saying your thinking of them, and then going about your day like nothing happened.

Instead of JUST praying, donate money to help Japan get back up on their feet. The Red Cross has a charity right now to help Japan. Seriously, actually take ACTION rather than just say words that really have no meaning unless you are actually doing something to help people in Japan.

From what I heard, a lot of the money donated to Japan is tied up in red tape or whatnot and won't be reaching the Japanese people for a while. Not to mention that not everyone has money. I mean, I'm sure we'd all donate if we could, but not all of us can. But by praying to God, we're talking to the One who controls everything. Who better to petition for help? I'd pray even if I did have money to donate.

@intaglio210 Well, some people can't donate. Either we're too poor or the fact that we're not old enough and our parents won't let us. All we can do is pray. Even an atheist such as myself wishes and hopes because it's all I can do. But I do wish I could do more.
