On Monday July 13th, Benedict XVI left the Vatican and traveled to Valle d'Aosta where he will spend a short vacation in the Salesian Residence Les Combes until July 29th.Upon arrival, the Pope was welcomed by the Bishop of Aosta, Giuseppe Anfossi, who expressed his and the dioceses appreciation for the Popes renewed gesture of friendship and proximity. The Bishop assured the Holy Father of the pastors and faithfuls prayers during the Popes stay there.
