@gtrincs Just saying that this area is flooded with fair weather fans, it's pretty annoying when you try to hit on a girl with a caps shirt on saying to yourself "hey cool she's into hockey!" coming to find out she knows nothing except ovechkin......drives me nuts!!!

@gtrincs It's called "fair-weather" fans my friend! I live outside DC and trust me 5 years ago you NEVER saw the caps logo on anything around, now everyone has a damn ovechkin t-shirt....its pretty sad.... funny story: a few years ago me and a bunch of co-workers went to a caps game picking up cheap seats for like 10 bucks. The whole upper bowl was empty and when we tried to move seats I crap you not like 5 security guards told us to go back to our seats......crazy

wow how crazy is that .. 3-4 years ago, that's all the fans washington had, and now they have one of the strongest fan bases in the NHL .. no i'm not a caps fan, but it's just amazing to see that drastic turnaround
