In this video Jocelyne describes both the ideas behind and the process in creating "Sound Wave" (2007-ongoing).

A glass vessel is blown and molten glass is poured directly into the container. While the glass is still molten it is subjected to the vibrations of live sound (bell ringing, screaming, cello, drum, violin, etc). After the molten contents set up, the sound waves become permanent optic striations in the vessel. The contents become a visual and material unity of process and outcome, suggesting the sublime from the ordinary.

Musicians come in to play music for the glass to "hear". The video documentation of these performances have included drumming, cello, screaming, violin, accordion, flute, bassoon, harmonica, bells and Appache flute.
