Hod Lipson: Self-Reflective Systems [IgniteIthaca]

Hod is a professor in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at Cornell University where he directs the Cornell Computational Synthesis Lab. His work includes robotics, 3D printers, evolutionary computation. Prior to joining Cornell, Hod was a postdoc at Brandeis University's Computer Science Department and a Lecturer at MIT's Mechanical Engineering Department. In this talk he speaks about his work on self-reflective systems and what might happen when robots develop emotions.
