Talk about serendipity! While scouting out the possibility of using the wonderful Sumner-Knight Chapel as a recording location, Galen Trinkle and I were approached by a couple who were touring around the cemetary in which the chapel is located. They asked if they could see the inslde of the chapel; and we said sure.

It turned out that they were Pete & Amanda; two members of the band The Honeycutters. What resulted was this video; which was (for the gear geeks out there) recorded using a single FatHead mic via Apogee Duet into Logic. The video was taken with a single Flip video camera. Everything was married together in Final Cut.

If you like what you see, then please consider making a donation to help with the upkeep of the beautiful Sumner-Knight Chapel by contacting the Director of The Keene Parks, Recreation and Facilities Department, 603-357-9829. Tell him where you saw the video, and thanks in advance for helping to preserve an amazing little chapel.

  • utter genius...

  • @pbo660 Yeah! i missed them on the main stage, but a friend and i walked in the back of the cabin during their set and were blown away - in a wild, quiet way

  • @rymartyn Yes I was there as well. Did you see the show in the cabin? Cool.

My favorite act of a great wkend!

  • Just saw these two at the Nelsonville Festival. Truly amazing

  • I now live in Arizona, but originally came from Winchester just down the road from Keene. I remember this little chapel well. Who would have guessed such a great musical sound could come from the building. Even on this quickly put together video you can tell what wonderful accoustics it has. Good job guys!

  • Beautiful. Thanks for posting.

  • Sound quality is great! Good Job.
