I loved TDN when I was a teeny bopper, love them still.
They weren't the only ones to sing others songs, Elvis never wrote a lyric in his life and only won 2 grammy's for gospel.

@egghd1 I believe in giving credit where credit is due...Sad that some don't get it. I'm sure both of them are missed by the rest of the band.

@cindylcain59 Joe Schermie left the band in 1973 and was replaced by Jack Ryland. Both have since passed away. Jack never gets much credit today for playing on Shambala, The Show Must Go On, etc. Jack is on the cover of Seven Separate Fools.

3DN borrowed lyrics from all the great writers of the day and put their stamp on it and made hit records all over the place. In the day THEY WERE BIG !! I remember their music even made it to the Saturday folk mass AT CHURCH. "Easy to Be Hard." Think about THAT !!

@teegaro It was a roundabout way of saying: My first impression of Cory was - well, let's just say I referred to him as Goofy Smile Guy before I knew his name - but he's grown on me.

Excellent! 3DN was the very first concert I ever attended, in February 1970. They were great, and this was my favorite song of the evening. Closed the show with it, and I bet it went on for seven or eight minutes. A very class act.
