But its also true that even if citizens do not have them the criminals still will. Like in the UK where gun crime is almost exclusively with illegal weapons. Just look at the handgun ban there. People being injured with handguns quickly doubled after the ban and got to almost quadruple within ten years.

Imfao, law is a set of rules and regulations that we humans creat to maintain peace and harmony in society. If not for law, Our society would be like Somalia. btw. Pls take a look around my country, Japan. there is no drug wars, going on in the East Asia. Every East Asian countries have a strict gun-control law and a strict drug law as well. We, East Asians, are helping one another for mutual well-being, not knowingly. pls check the homicide rate of Hong Kong. Awesome !

When on earth did i say anything remotely close to that? Banning guns will no more rid this country of guns than the ban on drugs has rid us of drugs or the ban on alcohol rid us of alcohol. All of the crimes you mentioned involve infringing on the rights of others...the simple act of purchasing a gun infringes on no ones rights. I'm still a little fuzzy on how any law can effect the morality of a person. Please, since you seem to think laws make people moral explain it to me.
