ThunderTigers Aerobatic Team was established in 1953 with goals to advance flight skills, develop team spirit, increase confidence in victory, and promote the glory and valor of Air Force. Up to present, F-86, F-5A, F-5E, and other aircrafts have participated in the magnificent aerobatic performances. Under the instructions from the authorities in charge, AT-3 "Zu-chang" Jet Trainer has been employed to perform aerobatics to present the progress of national defense technology and display the excellent combat skills of Air Force, which may further boost the morale of our countrymen. From March 1988, after a functional evaluation of AT-3 along with a personnel selection, all the selected trainees were processed with strict training for three months. Later, the facility-renewal of Thunder Tiger Aerobatics Team was formally completed on November 1st, 1988.

  • 兄弟,誰在唱空軍軍歌,聽起來像是流行歌曲又軟趴趴的。

  • 如果我沒記錯這不是總部就是官校的網站上當落下來的... @_@

  • does anybody know if the pilots are instructors of the advanced training phase? Or are they picked from other sqn and rotated once every fixed period?

  • Both.

  • Does their position in the formation

stay fixed throughout their careers or

changed every season? Or it varies i guess.

  • Positions in the formation is fixed. Members change every 2 years I believe.

  • Years ago when the team was flying F-86s, there were nine members. Does anyone know when they changed to seven ships?

  • Turkish Stars Aerobatic Team

    see you

  • thanks a lot for your replies.

seems that all of their rankings is

fairly high, with Majors and Lt Colonels.

Whereas in the other services, e.g. RAAF

RAF, or RSAF, most pilots retire as a

Flt Lt or at most Sqn Ldr.
